Skytec awarded Autodesk program entry
The integration of very high-resolution data from unmanned systems is often restricted by sheer volume, storage and processing requirements. These challenges represent an obstacle to the adoption and usability by AEC professionals. Through the award of entry into the Autodesk Entrepreneur Impact Program (https://www.autodesk.com/sustainability/entrepreneur-impact-program), Skytec will focus application development resources to overcome these obstacles and enhance the overall usability of unmanned system collected data.
An existing ESRI Emerging Partner program member, Skytec is set to bridge the gap between traditional CAD, BIM and GIS user communities. ESRI and Autodesk announced their partnership to drive integration of spatial data and 3D modeling workflows in late 2017 (http://www.esri.com/esri-news/releases/17-4qtr/autodesk-and-esri-partnering-to-advance-infrastructure-planning-and-design). Skytec will leverage these energies to provide enhanced access to high accuracy 3D data through these programs. More updates to come on this soon.
